Our Review of the Rashoodz Full Length Swimsuit & Matching Hat:
Size: 1 (Fits 11-12kg, 74-80cm height, 12-24 months)
Design: Widdle Waves full length swim suit
The first thing that stood out to me about the Widdle Waves Full length baby swimsuit was the gorgeous vibrant blue colour. With a pattern to accent the side panels of the outfit as well as the matching hat, we found this baby swimsuit to be a combination of both childlike and stylish design.
The full length Rashoodz swimsuit has a zipper that runs from the top of the outfit to the middle of the torso, and has backing fabric to protect bub’s chest. The inner legs of the swimsuit are lined with buttons to allow for easy nappy changes, and also has buttons at the back of the neck of the swimsuit to keep the included hat attached (if you have a bub like Starfish who insists on pulling it off!). This swim outfit is made from polyester and spandex, allowing it to stretch easily around very active toddlers!
The fabric also has a UPF50+ rating, which is the most ideal for bubs’ skin in protecting them from the sun (especially with their extra sensitive skin). This added with the full length sleeves/legs put our minds at ease about having our (very pasty) boy in the sun!
We found the Rashoodz Full Length Baby Swimsuit extremely easy to put on and take off, as the buttons on the legs could be undone to create a bigger space for Starfish’s (big!) head to fit through. This was great as he’s in the middle of a wiggly stage, and his increased movement has made dressing difficult. The spandex component of the swimsuit was amazing as it allowed for the material to easily move and stretch around Starfish, not only while we dressed him, but as he moved around and played as well.
Although we haven’t trialled it in the full extent of Summer or the beach (yet!), we think it may get a bit warm with the full-length sleeves during the summer months. I absolutely love the long sleeves for sun protection, and definitely see its potential for warmth in the cooler months as well.
We absolutely love Rashoodz Swimsuit, and have found that the features of this outfit are everything that we look for in protection for our boy in the sun and water. We did find that it is quite a pricey swimsuit compared to some of the other options. Overall, you could find some swimsuits that would have almost all the same features for a cheaper price, but if you’re looked for guaranteed high-quality, all-inclusive protection, Rashoodz offer a great baby swimsuit.
Stand out Features:
- UPF50+ rating and chlorine resistant
- Clips for easy nappy changes and for the attachable
- Long sleeves for extra sun protection
- Cute and trendy design
- Price is quite expensive compared to some of the other swimwear options.
