Hump-Day Hype: The Week of Women

week of women

Today is International Women’s Day – a day to celebrate women from all walks of life, regardless of their backgrounds, beliefs, education, occupation or experiences. A day for women to come together and celebrate all that we do and all that we are. I thought a great way to help me get over the hump of this week would be to celebrate women bloggers that I know who have encouraged and inspired me to come this far in my blogging journey. (The week title “The Week of Women” is meant to be celebratory and endearing!)

Below are my Top 5 women bloggers {I know this is a blog link-up with lots of AMAZING bloggers and I love so many! These are just a handful that have helped me so far in my journey and I want tot celebrate and thank them for their encouragement and support!}

Kidgredients

Kylie has been an amazing support in my blogging journey, answering all my newbie questions and helping me look into blogging long-term (instead of fizzling out after a couple of months). I love her blog for her amazing recipes that, while I can’t fully use right now, allows me to stock pile recipes for future months/years as our Starfish grows up. She has some AMAZING recipes on display there – can’t wait to try the Lemon and Coconut loaf soon! Thank you Kylie!

In the Lyons Den

Okay, it may seem biased of me to include my co-host for this link-up, but have you READ her blog?!?! I love that she shares motherhood and life in an honest, open (and let’s face it, HILARIOUS) way. I aspire to blog the way that she does, unfiltered and raw so that other women and mums can relate and find encouragement in the stories. Suzy is such a delight to work with and she’s helped me to see how blogging can balance with work life too (which is quickly becoming my new reality…). Thanks for the laughs Suzy! x

Teacher Types

Before I was a blogger (since I started blogging while on maternity leave), I was a teacher. I AM a teacher – and I will be returning to that life soon. I used to LOVE trawling through Pinterest and Facebook for ideas for teaching, but now I’ve found a great resource for the future months. What I love about Lauren’s Teacher Types blog is that she incorporates teaching ideas, her life as a mum and blogging (which will soon be MY life!). I’ve found my perfect one-stop shop for everything I need, PLUS Lauren has been an amazing encouragement and support on my journey! Thanks Lauren!

The Nursery Collective

Cathy has a BIG heart and a HUGE passion (very similar to mine) – help new and prospective mums on their motherhood journey. Cathy has collected amazing resources to help mums out, and I love her commitment and dedication to her business. I love that she covers the “big issues” of motherhood, and she is open about her own journey and all that encompasses. Thanks for always supporting me lovely – not only in blogging, but in my role as a mother! xx

Northern Aussie Mum

Looking for a laugh? Look no further than Northern Aussie Mum – she is hilarious, open about motherhood plus shares her tips for travel as well. A must read for all mums who want a bit of a giggle πŸ™‚

So they’re my current top 5 (with SOOOOOOOO many other bloggers out there that I LOVE!) Who are your favourite women bloggers? Make sure to share them so I can add to my ever increasing list!!
