Mum life: Nightime feedings

When you wake up in the morning and it’s a quarter to 12, and your son decides he won’t settle himself, you give him food (ch-ch-ch-ch, ch-ch, ch-ch, ch). You give him food, (ch-ch-ch-ch, ch-ch, ch-ch, ch).

Yep, you can go a bit crazy when you’re awake all by yourself in the wee hours of the morning (for those who don’t even go to bed until this time, how do you do it?!?! I urge you to go to sleep earlier and enjoy the full night’s sleep while you STILL CAN!!). Lucky I now have a blog to entertain myself in the middle of the night while Starfish feeds and sleeps on the boob. While tickling my son’s feet and ears is a fun game during the day, at night it seems like a torturous task for an already sleep-deprived mum. Why does BF (breastfeeding, that is) have to release that what’s-it hormone that makes babies sleepy? Awesome trick, if they didn’t wake up an hour later still hungry.

Okay Starfish, time to sleep for 6 hours now bud. You can do this!
